Character
Name: Momo Hinamori
Series: BLEACH
Timeline: Chapter 80
Canon Resource Links: http://bleach.wikia.com/wiki/Momo_Hinamori
Personality:
Momo Hinamori is, overall, a very pleasant young person to hang out. She's very thoughtful and considerate. She constantly looks out for her friends, and strangers - always makes sure they're all right. When Shuuhei is attacked by Hollows and is almost killed, he commands everyone to run. Momo starts to, but, then eventually, turns around and decides to go back and risk her life just to save him. Keep in mind, she just met Shuuhei that day. Momo has a strong sense of helping other people, and, is always kind to others. She's so nice and sweet, that the Soul Society has an exceptionally positive opinion on her. Kira Izuru, her best friend, views himself as a monster just by merely defending himself from her. Nearly everyone becomes filled with exceptional rage after it turns out Aizen's illusions ended up with her getting stabbed. Additionally, even Yamamato, the head captain, seems to have a soft spot for her as he allows her to speak to Toshiro despite his usual decision to just go with what he feels and not allow any interjections. Her selfless nature is also a part of this, when she gets all of the bones broken in her body, she tells Izuru to focus on healing Rangiku first and that she'll be okay. Additionally, she is very empathetic. She's able to notice when something's a miss quite easily, and usually focuses on protecting her comrades as the main goal in combat, as seen when she goes to startling pragmatic lengths to save Rangiku, and, her first reaction at Rangiku being gutted isn't to protect herself but to catch her from falling. Additionally, she's a bit naive when it comes to people significant in her life. For example, even after Aizen stabbed her, she refuses to blame him for it, and even bakes cookies shaped like his glasses. Later, when she recognizes that he is the enemy, she still addresses him as a captain. However, she does note that she's in charge of squad five and this means she has to step up her responsibility so she can properly take care of her soldiers. In terms of naivety, Toshiro and Rangiku also can easily convince her of various things from time to time.
However, despite her kind, selfless nature, Momo is definitely a bit emotionally fragile, and, to some extent, she's ruled solely by emotion. Her gentle nature can cause her to be easily flustered, as seen with her interactions with Shinji. Also, she requested to sleep in the same room as Captain Aizen once due to her worry about his condition. Aizen's statements seem to imply that Momo staying at his place is a common occurance. She nearly worries herself to the extent of almost crying just by noticing something is off about Aizen. Upon seeing Aizen's body, her first instinct, which she promptly follows, is to attempt to attack Gin even though she completely lacks evidence. When this is brought up, she still demands that people move out of the way so she can kill him. A lot of this is explained because Aizen has practically conditioned her to obey his every command and to tend to his every need after discovering Momo's affinity for him when he rescued her from certain death. Her devotion could partially be explained through this way, as a deep gratitude for saving her life and spending decades with him, she simply couldn't believe he was evil. Even Aizen has expressed that he's specifically conditioned her so she can't live without him. This is fully explored in other extents, Momo, in a tearful rage, quickly attacks Toshiro upon reading a letter written by Aizen blaming Toshiro as his murderer. Momo quickly attacks him only to admit she doesn't know what to believe, but she continues to attack him. Upon seeing Aizen alive, her first instinct is to freak out and hug him, ignoring how so many questions should have been answered before just running over with open arms. Even after stabbing, her emotions and her personal beliefs still view Aizen as a good man, and she frequently apologizes for his actions, even going so far as to blame Gin as being the manipulator despite being stabbed. Being ruled by her emotions has led her to make plenty of impulsive decisions, as detailed above. But, however, it has also led to some good. Her impulsive needs to save and help her friends (which is practically everyone in the soul society) has very much saved lives: Rangiku's, and Shuuhei's being the prime example. In the manga, she fearlessly calls out a Captain level Shinigami for not seeking out treatment for his fallen subordinate. Even if it's not successful, the fact that Momo has the will to stand up for what she believes is right.
With that sentence, one would assume that Momo Hinamori is a very determined girl and that assumption is definitely correct. Her determined nature is, by all accounts, plucky. She'll stop at nothing for her goals. When she sees Aizen's dead body, she immediately draws her sword against a captain and willingly goes against her best friend in an attempt to kill Gin, which is a violation of Soul Society law. She also attacks another captain level opponent (and her best friend), despite the fact that she's leagues below him in power twice. Even when imprisoned, she breaks out by knocking out the guard and quickly taking a leave. She also returns to fight the hollows despite being totally outclassed. If there's something Momo feels is right, regardless of her feelings or the rules, she will do it.
Also of note, is a depth of Momo that's often very subtle: her brutality and how easy it is to launch her into a rage. To put it bluntly, she can be very quite vicious. Once she's pushed over the edge, she usually goes berserk and blindly attacks whatever is in her way. This is evident when she attacks Kira and Gin immediately demanding that she kills them. However, it's not only when she's pushed over the edge that she becomes suddenly and surprisingly brutal. Upon her imprisonment, she knocks the guard out with kido and continues on her way. In her fight against three fraccion, she used a very underhanded strategy. She concealed her identity, created a net in secret and, when they were caught in it, she lit it on fire. This underhanded, but effective solutions to her issues might be part of her conditioning by Aizen. Regardless, you definitely don't want to cross her way once she's finally snapped, lest you deal with a bad temper that will stop at nothing to achieve her result. In the anime, this trait is given a bit more explanation. You even phrase anything negative about Captain Aizen's betrayal against her and she will attack you with everything she has no matter how kind she was before, but, at the canon point I'm applying her in, her boiling point will usually be insulting Aizen.
In short, Momo is just your typical devoted, graceful, friendly obligatory moe gone cray cray because of decades of brainwashing. While she's definitely friendly, gentle plucky and willing to risk her life even for strangers, there are certain things about her that are just plain fragile. She tends to be a bit of a crybaby and has a temper that often results in impulsive actions.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strengths
-Momo is very intelligent, being able to formulate strategies on the fly and make them very effective.
-She's very studious and can pick up new concepts relatively quickly, as seen with implications about how quickly she rose up the ranks in the Soul Society.
-She's somewhat more durable than an average person, being able to survive injuries that should have killed her, along with most of the heroes in BLEACH.
-Momo's friendly nature should result in amicable relations with most people.
-She's very determined and brave.
-She's an accomplished artist and reader! She even draws the pictures for the sereitei's magazine!
Weaknesses
-While she is intelligent, she's fairly naive. It doesn't take much to fool Momo, something which she even notes.
-She's rather impulsive and Does Not Think Things Through.
-She tends to let her emotions rule her decisions and fails to realize the consequences of her actions. This ties in with the above.
-She's not physically the strongest person ever, or the quickest.
-She's kinda unlucky. Like, really unlucky.
-Her determination is something of a double edged sword, sometimes it leads to really dumb decisions.
-She's meek to some extent. She's more willing to stand up for others than herself because of her gentle nature.

Third Person Sample:
Her pokémon attacking her? What… just how strange could this place be? Momo couldn't believe it. But, here she is, on the receiving end of a confusion. Momo immediately charges towards Aizen, her Woobat, with her arms wide open. Aizen had only been acting more aggressive towards her recently. Whenever Momo would pass by a pokémon that was in demand by Team Rocket and not interact with it, the Woobat would screech until it got her attention. Whenever a Rocket Message was posted, Woobat would fly around the room to get Momo's attention. Momo had been complying with this for the past few weeks, and, despite her overall failure to capture the pokémon, it would briefly appease Woobat. But, this was the first time it attacked her.
She felt very hurt and devastated. She honestly loved Aizen. He was a lovely contribution to her team, and, they started off really close. Momo immediately closes her arms around the Woobat. Maybe he just missed with his confusion and was trying to protect her from a Joltik or something similar? Yes. That had to be it. There's no way he'd harm her on purpose, even if he has been a bit difficult lately. But, pokémon have different needs depending on the species, and, it just so happens that Woobat favor bureaucracy and doing work for this organization or, that's what she heard in the rocket office anyways.
"I'm sorry, Aizen. I tried my best and I know I let you down. I know it's not your fault that you'd hit me with a confusion, but, I should be helpful towards you in the future." Immediately, Momo feels a gust rip open her grasp on Aizen as it flies up out of her short reach. Tears quickly form in the edge of her eyes. Aizen really did mean to attack her. Why? Did she anger it? Was it hurt? Knowing Kira's in the other room, she swiftly comes to the conclusion that it'd be unsafe for him and his pokémon to keep them out of his pokéball.
She recalls him and cradles the ball, "Don't worry Aizen, I'll be getting you the help you need soon." She nods before tightening her glance at the pokéball. Aizen was her partner, and her friend, no matter what it did to her. There probably is a good reason behind it and she'll get to the bottom of it! Aizen will get the help he needs so they could become a stronger duo, and she won't rest until that happens. Mostly because she'll be worrying herself to insomnia, but, that still counts as not resting!
