[ The feed turns on to see a little, small room. There's a candle lit, and a girl's face complexly looking into the feed. A Sunkern in her hand chirps. It's obvious whoever is operating this thing doesn't really have much of an idea on good angles, or how to actually use the video camera. She turns the PCD to the ceiling, where a Woobat and a Shiny Zubat are both sleeping. It then turns again to see an Ekans wrapping itself tight around a sleeping Torchic before it turns back to Momo.

Once she has the feed pointing back at her, Momo blinks twice before beginning. ]

Is this... Is this on? Hello guys! Hmm, let's see! I'm Momo Hinamori! I've been mostly just trying to adjust and learn how to get settled in so I wouldn't ask any questions you guys probably heard a hundred times before! So, now, that I'm settled in, I kinda have a question. It's about Team Rocket...

[ She pauses. ]

They're charitable freelance dentists, right? [ ...Yeah. Leave it to Momo to be so off subject... ]

And, uh, have any of you ever got people from home come here but they're like younger than what they used to be? One of my close friends arrived here, except he was from a time where we were both in school. And then one of my friends showed up here as a little kid and then they both went home really quickly. Why do people show up here and just leave anyways?!

Also! If someone sees Princess Gorgeous - I think that's her name - please let me know I'm looking for her! She looks a lot like Hayate, except she's an impostor. [ She's very timid with this whole network thing. How many things does she talk about? When is it appropriate to end? ]

Ahh! Sorry for all of the questions, I guess I just have a lot on my mind! I'll talk to you guys all later! Thank you for listening! [ She kinda lingers on the feed for half a minute before realizing she needs to turn it off. So she'll fumble around with her pokegear until it actually turns off. ]

You definitely age if Riku-san's telling the truth about himself, but I think you're right about people not being able to die. It's kind of creepy in a way, but I definitely can't say I mind...

[Unless she gets captured and someone takes advantage of the part where people can't die and just keeps hurting them over and over again...]

But I wonder if you just get to a certain point and just... stop? Or if you'd be old forever.

So I can get older? [ This is weird to Momo. She ages so slowly, that thought of her actually aging normally kinda creeps her out a bit. ] What if I'm here for five years and then go back... everyone will think I'm fifty years older. I kinda mind, because the death cycle is very important and its disruption could lead to some unfortunate things... [ She'll be vague about how unfortunate it is in the mean time. ]

Maybe the aging stops once very noticeable changes happen. So, you don't look like you're a thousand and nine all the time.

I don't know... maybe it'll just be like nothing happened at all once you go back? Like, it'd be reversed...?

Or maybe it's just different since you're a shinigami. I definitely don't want to be old forever, gah!

Well, I think I'm just a normal human here. There's no test that I can perform to see if I'm just a Shinigami, but I don't feel any of my spiritual energy.

Maybe there's a slight difference in a Shinigami's physical compsition that keeps them young. Or, maybe because I have an actual body it'll just shed when I get back home... [ The possibilities are endless, and interesting. ]

Well, where I'm from, everyone has spiritual energy. Well, physical and spiritual energy, I mean. That's how we do our techniques, by combining them into something called Chakra... but I don't feel anything like that here, either.

Shedding though, you think? [Yikes!]

Well, I think some humans might have spiritual energy but they're few and far in between. Maybe the links between the world of the dead and the world of the living are so close that you guys have similar powers or something! [ At least they agree they feel nothing... ]

Yeah. Since my body would revert back to just a soul in the afterlife, I wouldn't need the body. It'd probably be left behind or it'd just pop off. Not that it'd matter, anyways, I would still look like how I look like now. I wouldn't be some hideous monster or anything. [ Nervous nervous giggle. ]

May... be...? [She'd never thought about it like that at all, but she supposed it could be possible.] I always thought it was pretty normal for ninja though. I mean, sure, one of my teammates can't use any kind of ninjutsu but...

Anyway, that's... a little creepy, but I guess it makes sense. If you guys had to go to the human world to, uh, reap souls or whatever, would you use one of those bodies? [A pop-off body? So weird, Momo!]

Are ninja the minority of people in your world? I mean, if only ninja use chakra, maybe that's because they're the only people that have enough energy to. [ Or something like that. ]

No, we don't. When we reap souls, they're just souls. They don't have a body, but, if their body hasn't been properly buried, they might still be chained to it. If, for whatever reason, we have to materialize and appear to humans, we use a Gigai, or a fake body. It basically is like a giant replica balloon of you when there's nothing inside there, which is where I got the shell idea from. However, this tends to be not very needed, and revealing anything about Shinigami to humans is frowned upon but it's not illegal. Not to mention, people just think you're crazy when you try to explain it to them anyways.

Oh... well when you put it that way, I guess that's true. One of my teammates, though, he can barely mold his energy, but he's still one of the strongest ninja I know. I guess it just depends on willpower and determination, huh?

...Well, I can see why people would think you're crazy. If I hadn't been up and dropped into another world, I'd probably think it was a lot weirder, too. I guess it's okay to do here though, since you're not actually... doing Shinigami things for the most part, huh?

Well, spiritual energy isn't necessarily needed for strength so you can do cool attacks and sword related things. I know several people that are very adept with hand to hand combat, enough to fight without their sword. Maybe that's his case. It only helps if you're really fighting against a Shinigami, because sometimes they can be so powerful they make normal people sick by the vast amounts of pressure they release.

Really? It seems pretty natural to me. It's like an inflatable suit or something. [ Oh whatever. ] And no, I'm not doing any Shinigami things. I'm the only person from my world here currently, so, it's not like I can actually do anything. Not to mention, I don't have any Shinigami abilities able to be used. Here, in Johto, I'm just a breeder. Not a very good one, if I may add!

Mmhm... can that happen? I mean, normal humans standing up to Shinigami in a last-ditch effort to fight off death or something? It just sounds like something right out of a storybook, if you ask me.

[Just passing right on by the inflatable-suit-body there...] A breeder? Do you breed certain types, or only the Zubats for now? 'Cause I know Obito-kun and Riku are breeders, and they seem to be pretty successful at it... Joonhee-niisan is too, but he hasn't had any eggs yet because he never catches anything...

Oh, no, that never happens! Mostly because Shinigami show up after a person died! I was referring to Shinigami against Shinigami! Cause, sometimes, a person's spiritual power is so strong they can just paralyze and knock others out by releasing it!

[ She nods. ] I think I breed only bats for now, but I definitely want to expand, you know? I'm just not exactly sure how to... [ Make pokemon... Uhhh.... ] go about this business. I do want to catch pokémon and then breed them, mostly because I don't want to take other eggs people probably need. You should encourage Joonhee to catch more pokémon!!

Oh wow, I never even thought... I guess it makes sense, though, that not even all Shinigami would be able to get along. There's ninja who can do stuff like that too... or so I've heard, anyway.

Well... I think a big part of it would be to get Pokémon who aren't bats, you know? But... Momo...

If you want an egg, you should buy it. That's how that works...

Sometimes conflicts break out. They're rare, but they're still notable when they happen. Mostly it's just a captain flexing his power to keep his subordinates in check. Spiritual presence is very strong in higher up ranking people, like me, and very few can really disguise their presence. [ Like her. ]

I'm going to build up my bat empire first! Therefore, they can just deliver the eggs, you know? It's a good idea! For me, anyways. It can also help strengthen them, maybe! [ Sobs. She's so stubborn and stupid with these things. ]

Yeah, but I bet a lot of people want that egg too. I just don't want to take something someone else needs. [ Can you imagine her in traffic? The people behind her would probably start getting strangling urges. ]

That sounds... really dangerous, actually, what with Shinigami using their power just because they can. I mean, I'm sure there are ninja who do that too, but...

Alright, once you get your empire founded, you'll be Momo, Empress of the Bats? But really, don't worry about if someone wants the egg or not. How about I'll get you an egg sometime, okay? Then you don't have to worry about it...

[Come on, Momo, don't be that person in traffic...]

It can be at times. I mean, I've heard things that high spiritual pressure can actually kill regular people right off the bat. It can also knock people out and hurt them. However, if anyone releases that much spiritual pressure, it causes a commotion amongst the other ranking members of the Soul Society and they show up, so it's not like they can abuse that and get away with it.

I guess! I'll be Momo! The Batty Queen! [ Wait. No. That was a mess up. ] I mean, the Queen of Bats! [ That's a lot better. ] And okay, I guess that works, but I should really give you two of my bat eggs in return, so you can join me in bat bliss! [ Haha this conversation is so very batty... ]

So it's pretty regulated, then? I guess that's a good thing about the afterlife, then. I'd hope people would keep an eye on that kind of thing, after all.

Batty Queen it is! But maybe one bat egg to start with, someday. Let me know~

Well, yeah. Shinigami can't legally kill other humans and stuff like that, then they face the Sogyoku! [ Boy ask what that is Tenten. I dare you! ]

I will~!

[Oh boy, that sounds new! She thinks she will!]

What's a Sogyoku? Like prison...?

Nope. It's what we use to execute really bad Shinigami. It's sealed by really thick ropes, but, when it's released, a phoenix shoots away from the hill and attacks the offender so harshly that their entire soul is burnt out from existence. They'll never be reincarnated or anything, it's the ultimate punishment. [ It's bad Tenten. Really, really bad. ]

[O...h... yeah she gets that it's bad now.]

That's... huh. That's the only way to permanently die...?

Yep! It's said to have the strength of a thousand zanpakutous, which is like, a thousand of my swords all piercing the same target.

There's another way to die permanently too. If you're a hollow, and you aren't killed by a zanpakutou sword, then you can't be reborn because your soul wasn't purified so you're life ends there. Luckily, that rarely happens.

That sounds... really cool. Except for the die permanently part, the execution of it sounds pretty cool!

[Whoops, unintentional pun there.]

But that's... that sounds pretty scary. And that's the job of a shinigami, to make sure that happens?

I've seen a couple of Sogyoku executions, they're actually really bright and kinda colorful. The entire sky becomes orange and red and it just burns into each other once it's done. [ She's not noticing the pun, instead she's agreeing with Tenten. ] But, it's very scary and the spiritual energy makes it kinda unsettling. I'm glad Captain Aizen was there to reassure me... [ She takes a dreamy sigh before continuing. ]

The job of a Shinigami is to purify hollows with your zanpakutou. It can be terrifying, but it's a necessary thing to do and you shouldn't show fear over it. I mean, I nearly died from my first encounter with a fearful hollow but I got over it and worked my way up to become a lieutenant! You shouldn't have fear for doing the right thing!

So it's like fireworks, just... aimed at people. Well. Fireworks and swords all in one. [Tenten no, it's its own thing, just stop.] But Captain Aizen, you said he was your superior, right...? [What's that sigh, Momo, there's not something going on there, is there~?]

It's like a mission, then. It was pretty scary for my first mission, too, but after that, it gets easier. It's stuff that has to get done for the village, you know?
